Crystal Ski Holidays has announced it will not operate any ski holidays this season.
The UK’s leading ski holiday operator had been holding out hope for late-season trips and cancelling its departures on a rolling basis, but today has called time on the 2020/21 ski season.
The operator cited the continued impact of Covid-19 on worldwide travel and ski resorts as the cause for its final decision. Its customers will be offered the option to amend their holiday to a future season with an incentive, or cancel and receive a refund.
“We’re so disappointed not to be able to get our customers to the mountains this winter and we’d like to thank them for their continued patience, understanding and support.
“We know skiers and snowboarders are desperate to get back on the snow and we’re now looking forward to making next winter one to remember,” said Chris Logan, managing director of Crystal Ski Holidays.
The brand, like many others, is already seeing strong sales for next winter – it plans to run ski holidays from December 6 2021 until April 10 2022 and is currently offering customers low deposits and, alongside its Abta and Atol bonding, Covid-19 booking guarantees, which allow trips to be amended free of charge if impacted by the pandemic in the future.
